The New iButton Reader from Videx

Videx recently announced their newest iButton reader, the iBR9000. The name stands for iButton Reader, and the 9000 represents the number of reads that the device can hold at once.

Much smaller than other readers like the PulseStar or Touchprobe, the iBR9000 can easily fit onto a keychain. And instead of using a download cradle, it utilizes a small USB device called the iBR Encoder, which uses infrared rays to let your computer communicate with the reader. Best of all, the iBR9000 is just as rugged as its predecessors, making it ideal for outdoor and/or industrial use.

Oversight is currently working with Videx to include the iBR9000 as part of our iButton solutions. In the near-future, our customers will have a three-way choice between the new Microvision ROV barcode scanner (see below), and both the PulseStar and iBR9000 iButton readers from Videx.
